Happy Thanksgiving

I realize that I have soooo much crap to be thankful for. I feel like I've been really blessed throughout my life. My family moved from TX to VA, and somehow settled down in an area where there was a good HS. I somehow get into that school, and had a good experience there. I met good friends in HS, and still talk to some of them now. I get accepted to a good university, Cornell, and had good times. I again, met and shared my life with good friends, and left Ithaca with a very positive experience. I got into another good school, Stanford, and AGAIN, I am making good friends, and having good times here. Throughout undergrad and grad school, I have worked at good companies for my internships. I have found a discipline that I actually like, and that I am relatively good at. I am in the process of applying for jobs, and will get a good job at a good company. I feel like I never really had to work too hard or struggle too much for anything. There is nothing glaringly wrong with me (I guess this is subjective), and I am in pretty good health.

By the number of times I used the word "good", it's pretty clear that my life has been pretty posi. =) I am thankful for countless things. I should never be complaining. I probably complain too much for someone that doesn't have many problems. I have received too much to be whining about stupid little things.

So yeah, the conclusion is: I am thankful for a BUNCH of crap, and I should not complain about stupid things. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

P.S. I made cheesecake yesterday. It was freakin awesome! =)

Thanksgiving Break!

Here at Country Club Stanford University, we get an entire week of break for Thanksgiving! =) On Friday, I went to the Big Game (Stanford vs. Cal) with a whole bunch of people, but unfortunately Stanford lost. Stanford has a pathetic o-line, so that made running the ball really hard. I think like half the attempts went for negative yardage, which is pretty crappy. It was a fun time though, because the student section was actually pretty packed, and we made a lot of noise and stuff.

After the game, and after dinner, "we" had a party at our place. We is in quotes because it was only held at our place, but set up by Gerran, a USC grad. He took care of the invites and all the alcohol and we just used our place. I still don't know why we couldn't just do it at his place, but whatever. I was actually surprised that so much of the crap was consumed. It also went pretty late; I went to bed at around 400-430, but people stayed til like 500-530. Good thing no one stole anything!! I actually drank stuff, but not beer, cuz beer sucks! =) I think the drink I will officially endorse is the Apple Long Island (courtesy of Gerran):

.75 shot vodka
.75 shot rum
.75 shot gin
.75 shot triple sec
.75 shot apple pucker
1.5 shot sour mix
1.5 shot sprite
1 lime wedge

It's actually a really yummy drink, and strong enough to not be girly... =)

On Sunday, I went to see the 49ers vs. Seahawks game!!! It was my first NFL game ever! I saw Shaun Alexander run all over the niners defense. I also saw how well NFL QBs through the ball. They have so much zip on the ball, something I can never do. =(

Right now, I am about to go play golf at the Stanford Golf Course! Man, grad school at a country club is awesome!! =)

Today Was A Positive Day

+++++++++++++++++
My Posi Day
+++++++++++++++++

I went to the driving range today, and fixed up my swing some more. I think most of it is good now, but I just have to get used to all the little adjustments I have made over the past couple months.

I had bacon for lunch. Bacon is yummy! =)

Kenny and I played tennis with Will and Alan. Since Will and Alan are beginners, we agreed to play opposite hand tennis against them. We played an 8 game match, and it was really close!! We won 9-7!! =) Our strategy was to come to net as often as possible, and it worked!! We had some great clutch net points, and in the final game, we broke Will and had 2 great down-the-line winners!! =)

I broke my strings!! I like the sound that it makes when they break. I always want to record that sound somehow, but I have no idea how I'll do that...

The 2 burrito challenge also happened today at Los Charros. This challenge all came about around Spring quarter, when I ate a Super Burrito, and said I was still hungry. One thing led to another, and then I probably said that I could eat 2 of them. Fast forward to tonight, and I finished the 2 Super Burritos!! It was actually harder than I expected, because my rate of consumption GREATLY reduced by the end of the second burrito. But, I powered through it, and finished without throwing up, so Will and Alan paid for my dinner. =) Afterwards, I got some bubble tea. What a mistake!! It took me FOREVER to finish it because of the massive amount of food in my stomach.

I found brown rice!!

I didn't do any work today!!

December 18th Show

It's all set! On Sunday December 18th, 7:30PM, 6 friends (Kenny, Gerran, Will, Chinsan, John, Grace) and I will be going to a show with As I Lay Dying, Norma Jean, Madball, and A Life Once Lost!! Woohoo!!!

As for other updates, I have 2 challenges coming up this weekend. First Kenny and I will be playing Will and Alan in tennis. However, the catch is Kenny and I will be playing with our opposite hands. This is gonna be freakin' hard... I also have the 2 burrito challenge, which will be easier than the tennis, and the successful ultimate bucket challenge.
