Powerpuff Girls!!!

Today, I saw a guy wearing a Powerpuff Girls shirt!!! Maybe I should get one too!!! hehehe... =)

I had a small sandwich and a salad for lunch. It's really hard to stop eating when there's tons of free food left.

Bagless

I just got golf clubs!!! Actually, I just got the irons, for $137. That's actually supposed to be a good deal. I got them used on eBay, but they look like they're in pretty good condition. Now, I still need to get a whole bunch of other crap, the most important one being a bag. And I should try to get better at golf, since I have now made an investment.

My right foot is still poopy.

1% vs. 2%

Well, today's running session sucked... Right after I starting running, my foot started hurting. I stopped and massaged it a little and started back up again, but it was still very uncomfortable. I was sad but not sad, if you know what I mean. It's a weird type of "pain" because it feels more like the foot is not bending correctly, and causing me discomfort. Maybe it's because I have crappy, 2 year old shoes. I'll see what happens the next time I attempt to run (probably on Friday).

In other "exciting" news, chocolate flavored whey protein mixes a lot worse in 1% milk than in 2% milk. Tell me why.

A? Huh?

I got an A in CS 240?!?!?!?! How the crap did that happen? That was an Operating Systems class where we read a technical paper before each class and then discussed it. It was time consuming and not easy. The majority of the grade was class participation, and you know I never speak in class. I probably said like 5 things the entire quarter. And the midterm and final were hard and very tight on time. I was not expecting anything better than a B+ so that was a pleasant surprise!! =)

I'm planning on moving my blog and my posicorp page to a different server (my own) soon, after I figure out which programs to use and stuff. I'm running out of space on the free server.

I'm done with my first week of my new workout. I lifted on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, ran on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday, played tennis on Friday, and hiked on Saturday. And I actually ate some vegetables! And tofu! I ate freakin' tofu!

Everything is will power now. Self discipline owns me.

I'm hungry.

Denim Hats?

- "So, where do all of you work?"
- "VMware."
- "How do you spell that?"
- "V M W A R E"
- "So what do you guys do? Make denim hats?"

hehehe, that conversation was funny. =) They took the interns out to lunch and gave all of us hats, so I guess the question wasn't THAT weird...

I never really know how to explain what VMware does. I think the best way is to think about the Matrix. The Matrix faked an entire world for people. The people had no idea it was fake and just thought everything was real. That's what VMware does. It fakes the computer hardware for programs. I work for the Matrix!!!

Summer of...

Losing Fat and Doing Cardio! That's right! The past 2 summers, I've been trying to get stronger and bigger, but that didn't work at all, so this summer I will try the opposite. I'm gonna start for real this week, once I get a consistent workout schedule, but I have already run 3 times the past week. I hope I can keep it up. I suck at running. Any workout/food suggestions?

Cancelled!

My flight was cancelled today, and they didn't tell me why, so I'm flying home tomorrow, hopefully. And what sucks is that America West can't change my destination airport, so even after many minutes on the phone, I will still have to fly into BWI instead of IAD. And I ran today. I never run. I suck at running. I should run more, because this will be my summer of doing cardio and losing fat. I'll see how that works out...

Research???

I talked with my DB professor today, and she wants me to do some research with her next year. It's basically because I did well in her class this quarter, and won the efficiency contest for query optimization. I didn't even think I did enough to be the most efficient, but I guess it was good enough to win, and get a free t-shirt. I think doing some research would be cool, but I don't know how much effort I am willing to put into it. I could be an RA (research assistant) and get tuition paid for and get a stipend, but I would have to work 20 hours a week, which is a lot. Another option is to get credits for the hours I put in. The whole tuition thing is really enticing, but I just don't know if I can put in that much work, and still have decent amount fun. I wonder if I could be an RA for less money and less time... Ahhh!!! What should I do???

My Butt Is Wet

I went to the SF Giants game today, and it was cold, and wet. My butt was wet for the entire night. Awesome. It was a fun experience, even though it was cold, wet, and the Giants lost. And garlic fries are yummy. Here are pictures. O yeah, and I spent a couple of hours organizing my 73 gigs of music.

Finally Done!

I'm done with my first year! That was the hardest quarter/semester ever. I took THE hardest cs class, along with 2 "known to be pretty hard" classes. I wrote about 16,000 lines of code (way too much for one person) and read about 350 pages of technical papers (not the easiest material). During the quarter, I got a 20" lcd screen, got a free iPod, got a free Stanford Database group t-shirt, and learned how to play golf. Also, I think Matchbook Romance is really good. They are really fun emo. And for the harder stuff, The Burning Season, Haste The Day, and The Cardinal Effect. And by "harder stuff", I mean hardcore. Tomorrow I'm gonna see the SF Giants play. Yay summer! Yay football! O wait, wrong season...
