Audioscrobbler

Check out Audioscrobbler. It is an interesting concept of logging what you listen to. All you have to do is download a plugin for winamp or itunes, and then you can start seeing your music listening trends and stats. It also analyzes your music data with everyone else's, and presents other similar bands. It's a pretty cool site to mess around with.

Tasty Salmon

I went on a boat today at Half Moon Bay to go salmon fishing. We had to get up at 3:30 AM in the correct time so that is 2:30 AM in before-you-set-your-clocks-one-hour-ahead time. I am really sure I only got like 1 hour of sleep so that was kind of rough. The day on the boat was pretty uneventful, partly because I spent most of the day sleeping, and partly because only 2 fish were caught by the entire boat in the 8 hours. The dramamine and the 1 hour of sleep probably had something to do with the constant sleeping... After I got back, for hours I still felt like I was on a rocking boat. It's a pretty weird feeling. Since we had an unsuccessful day of fishing, we bought and ate salmon for dinner. Those elusive fish are tasty! =)

Fire!!!

Well, that was an interesting night. It started off pretty normal; we went to a graduate party that started off at the gcc. Then shuttles started shipping us to some bars in downtown Palo Alto. We went to Gordon Biersch first, and hung out there for a while. Then we walked over to Nola's. Things got interesting when we sat down at some table. There was this candle there and some random paper all over the table. Will decided to throw some paper in the candle, and the paper caught fire and actually stayed lit for a while. This obviously prompted others to do the same. I didn't actually participate since there was enough paper on fire. After a couple of minutes, the "bonfire" was actually pretty big. It was all fun and good, until one of the bouncers came by and yelled at us and kicked all of us out of the bar. We walked over to Blue Chalk, and apparently, Nola's called them ahead of time or something, because we weren't allowed in. So, we walked back to Gordon Biersch, but it was closed. We met some random people outside of that bar and we found out that "no one" gets kicked out of Nola's... HAHAHA!!! We got kicked out of one bar, and were denied entry to another!!! Oh and don't worry, I had nothing to drink. hehehe... goodnight! =)
