A Site Is Born

I just created my new posicorp site. Woohoo! I think it needs a relatively recent internet browser but I'm pretty sure all the major ones will work. Well, I hope they work... Let me know if it doesn't. I think it looks pretty cool, but then again, I'm biased. Hopefully I find stuff to put on that site. Any suggestions? =) So yeah, you should check out the new design.

I'm visiting Stanford this weekend. It will be the first time I see my new school. I heard it's a nice place so that should be good.

...YzZiD

I saw Bourne Supremacy this past weekend.  It was ok.  I think I liked the first one better.  My main problem with this one was the camera work.  In every action scene, the camera was very shaky and disorienting.  It was impossible to see what was going on.  That effect got annoying really fast and I think it made the movie less enjoyable.  AHH!!!  Stop moving so fast!  The rest of the movie was still entertaining though...

Eat Time!

I went sprinting again on Sunday.  I think I can get to my top speed pretty quickly, but my top speed is not fast enough, and I can't maintain that speed throughout.  Anyone have any ideas how to get a faster top speed and how to stay at that speed for a longer time?

It was my chest day at the gym today.  My bench performance wasn't my best.  I only got 175 for 5.5 on my second set and 175 for 3.5 on my third set.  I killed my chest on the decline and incline and dips so I think it was still a successful day.  Also, I am officially 160 lbs!  woohoo!!!  I've been fluctuating between 159 and 161 the past week so that's cool.  I've been eating so much every weekday.  I did an estimation and I eat at least 2916 calories and 188.5 grams of protein every weekday.  I eat a lot on the weekday because a lot of the food I eat is free stuff from the office.  On the weekend I don't eat as much because I don't want to spend so much money.  I don't look like I gained a lot of fat so I guess most of those 5 lbs are muscle.  woohoo!  Hopefully, that's true...  I want to get to 165 or 170 and then start my losing fat mode.  I think gaining 5 - 10 lbs is going to get hard.  I have to eat more!

Shower Power

My shower here is not strong enough.  The water pressure is too weak.  Believe it or not, the right shower at 301 Bryant was my favorite shower ever.  Too bad it was filthy...  man, I miss Cornell, especially the people... =(

Digital Camera?

I want to get a digital camera really soon (like this week). I didn't do much research on anything, but I was looking at the Canon S410. People online seem to like the image quality from that camera, and it is pretty small, which is good. Anyone know anything about this camera, or other cameras? Please give me suggestions...

I think today was a good chest day. I benched 185 for 4.5 but I cheated because that was on my second set. I don't know how that compares to 2.5 on the third set. O well, it's still good that I could do more. More is good. I played some basketball after the gym. By the end, I was so dead, because I was tired and I had 2 blisters on each foot, and I twisted my bad ankle again. I walk like a freakin' retard!

Randomness: I saw a woman riding her bike, and smoking a cigarette at the same time. That's just crazy!!! That's almost as stupid as riding a bike at pitch black night without a light! =)

From the Sky...

I ran sprints today, but my legs died on me sooner than I wanted. I only got in like 4 or 5 even though I stretched for a long time at home and at the track. Biking everyday is screwing me over! O well, I found these cool aerial photos of Santa Barbara. It's really cool how they have so much detail. I made a little flash thingy showing where different places are from each other. It's funny how my house is far from everything else... =) I guess it's cool that I live close to the water and beach. I get a nice view of the water as I struggle back home on my bike, up the constant hill and against the strong wind.

Time for Grinding!

I guess I've been a little lazy about updating this. Last Saturday, people came over to the intern house and starting drinking and hanging out. That's normal, but the interesting part was my roommates friend that was visiting for the weekend. He was the craziest guy ever, and being drunk did not help things. He was wild, loud, belligerent, racist, sexist, and crazy. Most of his comments and jokes could definitely offend lots of people. The most common victims were women, blacks and jews. I'm actually surprised that he didn't have any asian remarks. We all got kicked out of the swimming pool/hot tub area because we were too loud. It was basically that one guy and the hot tub making all the noise. It can't be good that the neighbors had to tell us to be quiet a couple of times already... =) That crazy guy almost got into a fight with one of the coworkers. He would have won because he was big and ROTC and stuff, so good thing nothing happened. Later in the night, that guy just decided to walk around naked?!? "Coincidentally" that's when everyone left. hehehe...

July 4th was a more relaxing day. We went to a bbq at a coworkers house and I ate tons of food. I have to eat a lot to get bigger right? =) We didn't go see the fireworks because it would have been very crowded and no one wanted to drive. Later, some of us went bowling at this place that's open 24 hours. It was a nice place and very cheap. It was $1.50 a game which seems like a good deal. Considering I haven't played in over 2 years, I think i bowled ok. I think my best was around 150, and my average was probably 120. One of the guys I was with was pretty good. I think he got 197 for one of his games. It was a fun night, but since I got back around 2, I was pretty tired...

I had no work on Monday! Woohoo!!! I went down to the stadium to run sprints. However, my legs were really tired and I couldn't do that many. My quads were hurting really bad after a few, so I just stopped. I hope I will be ok by Sunday so I can run sprints for real...

I played tennis again tonight. I think I played better than last time. My ground strokes were a little more consistent. I definitely hit the ball better when it comes faster. I seem to have trouble with slow, arching shots. That's no good... My net play is getting better too, so that's cool. I stretched a LOT before playing, so that my muscles wouldn't cramp up. I did survive the night without any tightness. I did get blisters on my feet, but that always happens... There was a new guy there today, and he was really good. His serve was very good so I got some practice with my returns. He was also very consistent with his ground stroke so it was hard to win a point off him. I was happy with my play today... I rode back home in pitch black again. Tonight seemed even "darker" so it was literally impossible to see where the road was. Good thing no cars were around... =) Tomorrow will be my rest day; I really need it...

I just got Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 for computer because I'm bored. I haven't played it yet but since I liked the one before it on XBOX this one should be good right? =)

I can't see my balls...

I saw Spiderman 2 last night. It was an entertaining movie. I guess it was better than the first one. I liked the action scenes in this new one. However, there were lots of cheesy scenes in there, just like the first. I did think it was a lot funnier. Well, the movie started at 9:10 PM so after it was over, I got a ride back to the office where my bike was. It was midnight when I started on my journey back home. Luckily, one of my roommates was going home too, and he had a bike light. It wasn't completely black so that was good. I was pretty tired today because I got to sleep after 1 and woke up at 7:45 AM as always...

Today was the first time this week I did not go to the gym! I went to play tennis instead. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday people get together and play. Too bad I have to pay $8. Man, everything costs money here!!! i thought it was worth it though... I haven't played in a while and some of the players were pretty good. The one problem was no one had a great serve, so I couldn't really practice reaction time and stuff for fast serves. I played ok. My serve was actually pretty good. My ground strokes were a little inconsistent. Basically the courts are ordered, and its all doubles. If you win 4 games first, then you move up a court, and the losers move down a court, and you change up partners. I was on the top court every time except once, so that was cool. I also broke strings on one of my rackets so I have to find somewhere that strings them... I played from 6:30 to 9:30 so that was pretty fun. The bad thing was the lights aren't that great so it got really hard to see the balls after the first couple of matches. I didn't stretch too well at the beginning, so my calves got really tight and cramped up really bad. Good thing I didn't really have to run much in my later matches... I liked playing tennis again. I actually haven't played a match since high school. I have always just hit around with people. That is not bad, it's just that in a match, mistakes are costly... I wish I could be a little more consistent with my shots. Maybe next time I will play better. I had to ride my bike back home again tonight, in darkness. I didn't have anyone with me so it was just me and the road. There were lots of parts with no street lights, so I guess that was kinda dangerous. Man, I am exhausted. Tomorrow will be my day of rest. I hope my calves feel better by Sunday so I can run sprints again...
