Room Full of Girls

Well, this morning, I went to the gym and I attended the Pilates class....... Ok, you can stop making fun of me now... So what if it's a "girl" class? Today, there were 2 other "men" in the room full of girls. However, one of them left in the middle and the other one was clearly gay. That means, I was the only "guy" for some of the time. Whatever, I don't really care what people think. I really like the abs workout I get from the class. Most of the hour is some kind of crunch or sit-up, so it is like a 45 minute abs workout, which is cool. Too bad I looked like a retard because I am not very flexible at all.

After the class, I decided to row even though I have to bike uphill for miles to get back home. I guess I am retarded and masochistic. Those 2 traits are a bad combination. I just did 1 sprint, so I guess I wasn't too stupid. I did 500m in 1:37 @ 35spm. I have no idea if that's good or bad, but I like it because this was the first time I rowed since school. I was trying to go all out, but after I finished, I still felt like I had some energy left in me. The funny thing was that my forearms were more sore than anything else. I think next time I will increase the resistance a little bit, because at times, I felt like I couldn't push as hard because the wheel was already spinning too fast. Maybe that will improve my time.

Random: At Borders I saw the new Misery Signals cd. I did not expect to see that album there...

  • That's about as fast as I can do a 500 sprint, and probably a higher rate, and I've been rowing all summer. Kudos for being way, way stronger than I am. Resistance should probably be somewhere in the middle - like 6 or so. As for the Pilates class, you go, girl. Work those abs. - Evan

  • You should pretend to be gay while you take the class. If TV has taught me anything it can't help but turn out hilarious. -Dustin
